Looking to try your hand at sculpture or spend some creative time working with clay? The Guelph Sculpting Group welcomes newcomers, visitors and returning artists to its weekly sessions at the Pottery and Arts Centre (West end Community Centre, 21 Imperial Road South, Guelph, ON N1K 1X3).
When: The group meets Wednesdays from 9:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., offering a friendly, hands-on opportunity to work on your own projects and connect with fellow artists. Visitors are welcome to drop in briefly during the 9:20–9:25 a.m. welcome period, coffee time from 11:05–11:25 a.m., or during cleanup from 12:30–12:45 p.m.
Weekly fees: $40 for the first morning of each new 4–5 session set, then $30 for subsequent sessions. Clay is available at cost. Participants should bring simple tools, a work board (with armature if needed), rags and a plastic bag to cover work stored between sessions.
Location: Pottery and Arts Centre — past the rink, turn left and left again, then head upstairs by the stairs or elevator. From the stairs, the centre is straight ahead; from the elevator, head ahead and left.
