The Guelph Tool Library is once again hosting the Free to Read Book Sale on Saturday, April 25th. The sale supports the Books for Inmates Program, a program that supports literacy programs in correctional facilities across South-Western Ontario. The Free to Read Sale has provided thousands of books and funding to this program since its inception in 2022. Last year we sold over 3500 books and provided more than 1000 free books to local causes. Donations for this year’s sale can be brought to the Guelph Tool Library.
We need volunteers to help sort donations prior to the sale, as well as event volunteers for the day of. Book sorting will be on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm at the Old Quebec Street Mall starting Feb. 17th, and we will be adding Thursday evenings as sale approaches.
