Unboxing Accessibility is seeking a Youth Program Lead with a focus on volunteer coordination to help shape and guide its 2025 mentorship program. This dual role places equal importance on volunteer recruitment, ongoing support, and youth programming. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, and deeply invested in accessibility, disability justice, and empowering BIPOC youth with disabilities.
Unboxing Accessibility is a mentorship program designed for and with BIPOC young people with disabilities, empowering young people with a sense of belonging, community, and a space to explore why their voice matters.
What you’ll do as a Program Lead:
– Co-lead and help organize workshops and sessions
– Build meaningful relationships with participants
– Hold space for reflection, creativity, and growth
– Help shape a program that’s accessible, welcoming, and impactful
This is a paid opportunity open to BIPOC with disabilities, chronic illness, or neurodivergence. You don’t need formal experience — just a love of community care, planning, and creating room for others to thrive.
Contract Duration: July – October 2025
Location: Hybrid (scheduled in-person sessions in Toronto and scheduled remote sessions/meetings)
