Deanna Kruger is a Guelph-based playwright. Her plays include: The Sword-Bearers (Nightwood’s Groundswell Festival), Janet and Louise (Here for Now Theatre Company), Forty-Seven (Here For Now), and Paul and Petandra (Pencil Kit Productions). The Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council have supported her work. Deanna’s awards include the Playwrights Guild of Canada's RBC Emerging Playwright Award (short list), as well as the GAC Youth Opportunities Award. She’s shared her love of theatre by serving as a mentor and facilitator of regional playwriting circles. Deanna has also taught teen playwrights in partnership with the Guelph Public Library.
