Urszula was born in Poland and built her life with her husband and children in Guelph, where they have lived for more than thirty years. She holds two Master’s degrees—in microbiology and food science—and spent her career as a scientist, a path that trained her to observe the world with precision and curiosity.
After retiring, she devoted herself more fully to painting, working primarily in acrylic and oil. She studied painting with Scott Abbot, Grazyna Adamska Jarecka, Eleni Bakopoulos and Jey Dorsey.
Travel remains one of her greatest joys and many of her works are inspired by the places she has visited and the memories they hold. Urszula seeks authentic connections with the landscapes she paints on both personal experience and emotional resonance. Her paintings are influenced by the legacy of the Group of Seven.
