Michaela Demysh is a dynamic 27-year-old artist based in Guelph, Ontario, with a diverse background that bridges both the arts and engineering. She holds degrees in Fine Art and Art History from Brock University, as well as a diploma in Electrical Engineering from Conestoga College. Currently balancing her career as a full-time Electrical Designer with her passion for art, Michaela works as a freelance artist and illustrator.

Michaela is deeply embedded in the local arts scene. Over the years, her work has earned several accolades, and you may have encountered her pieces displayed at local libraries or admired her vibrant mural at Eramosa Public School.

Michaela’s artistic practice spans multiple mediums, with charcoal, ink, and acrylic paints being her primary tools of choice. Recently, she has ventured into digital painting, expanding her creative repertoire. Specializing in portraiture, Michaela also explores landscapes and still lifes, often working from live references or photographs she has taken herself. Her experience in various design fields further enriches her artistic approach.

Her latest landscape series draws inspiration from her travels and personal connections to meaningful places. Michaela’s love of bright, bold colours shines through in her work as she strives to capture and amplify the natural beauty that surrounds us. Growing up in the rural areas of Eramosa, Michaela has developed a profound connection to nature, which continues to inspire her artistic journey.
