We want to remind our members and readers that the deadline for the next round of the City of Guelph’s Micro-Grant program is Tuesday, 31 October. If you have an art activation or a neighbourhood activation project that could use $500-$1000, this program might be just the ticket to get it off the ground/see it to the finish line. Recipients of funding from the previous round are not eligible again until 2024, but those who were unsuccessful in the first round are welcome to resubmit their previous projects (or a new project) for consideration. New applicants are most definitely welcome as well, of course.
The Micro-Grant program is a City of Guelph initiative in partnership with Guelph Arts Council and the Guelph Neighborhood Support Coalition. The 2-year pilot program began earlier this year with an application process that was designed to be short and straightforward, aiming to attract submissions from a wide variety of applicants. On the arts side, this means creative individuals at various stages in their artistic practice in a variety of disciplines.
Please click for more information and the online application. If you have additional questions about your specific project, please contact GAC staff. We would be happy to hear from you to discuss your ideas, and can be reached by email at [email protected], or by phone at (519) 836-3280, or feel free to drop by our office in the artBar (37 Quebec St. Upper Level). Office hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10am-4pm.
We look forward to seeing submissions for a great variety of projects from Guelph’s creative community.
