Lalani Jennings is a contemporary art gallery, which recently opened in Guelph, Ontario as of June 2022. Their curatorial mission is to “explore socially responsive and engaging exhibitions” (Lalani Jennings Contemporary Art, 2022). Colour and Form is the first exhibition this year and will be on display until March 4th, 2023. Colour and Form features the work of five artists; Jasmine Cardenas, Chanel DeRoches, Hannah Johnson, Andrea Taylor and Kelly Uyeda. These artists encompassed the exhibition theme gracefully with several large and small works ranging from paintings, sculpture, and epoxy resin. The variety of mediums and colour used in each work compliment each other to create a vibrant, welcoming environment. Some mediums include pumice stone, cardboard and fibreglass, epoxy resin clay, earthenware and terra sigillata, and more. Furthermore, this successful first 2023 exhibition at Lalani Jennings is a delightful template that will excite the public for future exhibitions that follow.
