Guelph Arts Council welcomes its newest experiential learning student from the University of Guelph’s School of Fine Art and Music.

Madeleine Avery is in her fourth year of Studio Art and Art History. Throughout her undergrad studies Madeleine has taken a particular interest in printmaking. This led to her volunteer work in the University’s Bachinski Chu Print Study Collection on campus over this past summer. Outside of school Madeleine enjoys exploring downtown Guelph, visiting galleries, reading, and cooking.

Madeleine is very excited to be working with Guelph Arts Council on projects such as Art on the Street and Opportunity Knocks. Madeleine also hopes to gain enriching experience this semester within the Guelph arts community and learn more about the behind-the-scenes of local art institutions as she hopes to one day work with small local galleries.
