Guelph Arts Council has opened a new chapter in our home at Old Quebec Street Shoppes, and we’re inviting the community to help us document the past 50 years of arts in Guelph. As part of an upcoming keepsake book, we’re collecting short memories from anyone who has taken part in the city’s creative life—artists, audiences, volunteers, and supporters.
When you visit the Sally Wismer Gallery, you’ll find index cards available for you to record a favourite Guelph arts memory. It could be a performance that moved you, an exhibition that sparked something new, or a workshop that connected you with others. Every contribution helps build a clearer picture of how the arts have shaped this community.
Your story doesn’t need to be long or polished. These collected memories will form a community record of the people, events, and experiences that have defined Guelph’s arts scene over the last five decades.
