Guelph Arts Council is pleased to collaborate with Meridian Credit Union in presenting Small Business Finance for Creative Professionals, an interactive workshop for artists and creative professionals on day-to-day and small business finance. The workshop will be led by Meridian Credit Union staff with support from local accountants and bookkeepers, and is a follow-up to the well-received Financial Literacy for Creative Professionals session presented in June.

The three-hour workshop begins at 6 pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Guelph Public Library, Main Branch, 100 Norfolk St, Guelph. Thanks to the generosity of Meridian Credit Union, a Guelph Arts Council Annual Sponsor, the workshop is free (pay-what-you-can, all proceeds to GAC).

The workshop schedule is:

6 – 6:15 pm     Refreshments
6:15 – 8:30      Workshop
8:30 – 9 pm     Networking

Registration is required. Please register online or by calling Guelph Arts Council at 519-836-3280.

In announcing the workshop, Guelph Arts Council Executive Director Patti Broughton said: “We are so grateful to Meridian Credit Union for offering this workshop to Guelph’s creative community. Financial management is important for everyone, but in a special way for artists, who are often self-employed or have multiple sources of income. Dealing with finances can be overwhelming, particularly when faced with many options and conflicting information. This workshop will help cut through the clutter, and equip creative professionals with skills to effectively manage their day-to-day business finances.”

This program is not sponsored by the Guelph Public Library and the Library carries no responsibility for its content.
